-Spatial Relationships:








1-Space Within a Space:  It happens when a big space contains a smaller space. The smaller space can be different from that of the enveloping space. In the example below, the architecture of the room is containing a smaller area that has a small living room.

2-Adjacent Spaces: Spaces that are clearly defined. The visual continuity between adjacent spaces depends on the nature of the plane that separates them. In the example below, the walls clearly differentiate and enclose each space.

Spatial Organizations:

3-Centralized Organization:  Is an organization based on a dominant central space. it contains secondary spaces, and it gives a sense of stability as seen in the rotunda below:

4- Radial Organization:  Is a type of organization that uses an extroverted plan combining both linear and centralized organizations, as seen in this prison:

5- Grid Organization: Uses a pattern and repetition to establish certain order. usually created by sets of parallel lines.
